Ayman M. Salem, M.D.

Ayman Salem, M.D. graduated at the top of his class from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. After completing Neurosurgical training at Ain Shams University Dr. Salem immigrated to the United States. Dr. Salem then completed a General Surgery internship at Hahnemann University Hospital and Neurosurgery residency at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Salem has undergone fellowship training in complex spine surgery at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and the surgical treatment of movement disorders at Loma Linda University Medical Center. After starting his own practice in the San Fernando Valley, Dr. Salem became a co-founder of the Valley Neuroscience Institute. His practice interests are stereotactic radiosurgery, spinal instrumentation, image guided computerized brain tumor surgery and image guided minimally invasive surgery for movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease.
