George Rappard, M.D.George Rappard, M.D. is a board certified Neuroradiologist and trained Neurointerventionist. After attending the University of California Los Angeles where he earned a B.A. in history, Dr. Rappard received his M.D. degree, with distinction, from the George Washington University. Dr. Rappard then completed a General Surgery internship at the Medical College of Georgia and a Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of California Irvine. At the University of Texas-Southwestern Dr. Rappard completed fellowships both in Neuroradiology and Interventional Neuroradiology/Neuroendovascular Surgery. While at the University of Texas, Dr. Rappard was heavily engaged in research to develop novel methods of image-guided and minimally invasive brain and spine surgery. After serving on the academic faculty at the University of Texas, Dr. Rappard returned to Southern California to co-found the Valley Neuroscience Institute and direct the institute’s Neurointerventional section. Dr. Rappard continues to be involved in research and is an investigator in several cerebrovascular studies. |
